Spring is around the corner, the office is getting busier every day with great materials from our artists, so we realized it is time for this year’s WMC sampler.
The sampler features seven tracks by seven artists, most of them have already released tracks for our label but we have a new signing, a pair of producers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and after while Freaky Funk aka FFunk is coming back strong, this time with a club banger.
We start the sampler with a track from a guy that already has many releases and two of them on our label, and he still is not even 20 years old, Alek Soltirov with his original sound when he produces for artefact, his track It’s That Bad starts the sampler with the right mood, deep funky with a great feel for the rhythm.
Next is Ffunk aka Freaky Funk who has been idle for a while but we are happy to announce his comeback with a new ep for artefact in the next couple of months and this track called Beautiful Mind will be included in his new ep. His sound has progressed and this time he uses modern powerfull bassline with a female vocal that will fire up every dance floor and could be played in many different sets.
The third track Wicked Dream is by our good friend and inhouse artist Goran Tech and owner of walk & talk records, he has already released few eps for our label and his tracks have always received great feedback and support. We are happy to announce the first ever album released by Artefact will be his album and this track will also be included. Wicked Dream is an excursion in to the deep and tech sounds mixed with beautiful and driving bassline, reinforced with great chords and melody that will put you in a dancing mood.
What happens when a friend comes to your studio with a didgeridoo while you prepare some beats. Well the fourth track is the result of an improvisation at Pavle Vasiljevic’s studio while his friend Deki Mit was showing his skills on didgeridoo the instrument used by native Australians. Down Under is not your ordinary underground house track, with the live phrases of the sound of the didgeridoo and the deep and rolling bassline played by Pavle this track is set for those sweaty dance floors, it is deep it is tech it is dark.
Next is a track that has already been played by the great Roger Sanchez and is by Mirock a producer from Macedonia whose tracks are regularly featured on Roger’s release yourself compilations. Party Night is a deep ride into the techier sound with a lots of looped vocals and sounds, great bassline, sounds fresh and yet reminds us on those days when the H Foundation and 6400 crew was doing damage on the dancefloors across the globe.
Another young producer from Macedonia who has a great future ahead Borce Panov with his track Zatilnik shows his ability to create powerful tracks for those more underground oriented dancefloors, with his rolling beats and hipnotic sounds mixed and glued with a bassline that makes you move.
Last but not least is the new signing, the duo from Bosnia and Herzegovina called No Government project made by two producers Andy and Erga. Already with many releases under their belt mostly dark and deep tech house their debut on artefact records is the track called Lezia, pure tech house with a rollin chords and streight forward beat.
